Spokane police seeks help finding missing teen who's unfamiliar with the area and doesn't speak English

<p><p>The Spokane Police Department is looking for a 16-year-old boy who was last seen leaving his home Monday evening and only speaks Swahili.</p></p><p><p>His family says Jibril Tambwe has never left home overnight and is unfamiliar with Spokane, according to Spokane police. Tambwe moved to Spokane from Africa about three months ago.</p></p><p><p>He only speaks Swahili and his family is concerned about undiagnosed health issues. Tambwe likes to go for walks by himself with his family following him to make sure he gets back home, police said. He likes to frequent Whitman Elementary School and WinCo in north Spokane, SPD said.</p></p><p><p>Tambwe is Black, weighing 150 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a red/black shirt, red shorts and no shoes.</p></p><p><p>If you locate Tambwe or have information about him, call Crime Check at (509) 456-2233 and reference Case No. 2021-20153287.</p></p>
